Introduction

Welcome, I'm Deb (a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a retiree, technical writer, previous teacher and school principal and wannabee of many more ~ I'll ramble on about that later)  and as you can tell, I retired in June 2015. This is a goal/project that I've been meaning to get started since I retired.  Now, 8 months have passed by and after giving myself a pep talk and quick kick in the you know where. Here goes.

What will you find here? Anything of importance in my life which to others may just seem like a bunch of unorganized reflections or ramblings. Hence, I call it Retirement Ramblings.  Actually, the domain name 'Memory Lane' was already taken and considering this site is built upon my personal reflections and ramblings post retirement, it seemed like a great idea as well as a great website name. So move over Memory Lane, I like Retirement Ramblings better!

In reality, I suppose I didn't actually believe getting older would happen this fast so I have a lot of years to cover!!!  Blink and you're 90 or so they say,  and, before too many more blinks go in, it's time to stop procrastinating (which is one of my biggest accomplishments) and get going on this goal. Being that I'm often described as a very driven person, once I start my ramblings, there's no stopping me.

I should also warn you that I never did come with a set of instructions, so anything goes. One last warning: I have an attitude and I know how to use it.  However, let's just say, I'll start out with every intention of keeping my posts upbeat and honest with the aim of keeping them tame!

Enjoy.....or not.
Deb
(Speaking of Deb, my name is actually Debra, but everyone called me Debbie, when I hit 35 or so, I felt Debbie was a rather youngish name and shortened my name to Deb which after many years, finally stuck....or so I thought because the odd person still reverts to Debbie.)
